Fear & the calling

The calling for Ayahuasca often comes with a level of trepidation.
You may find yourself talking about or researching Ayahuasca, and even form an opinion in favour or 'against' the medicine.
This is all part of the process, and it's normal.

Some of you might feel a crystal clear calling, others might experience the calling as a curiosity, enough to start exploring options to engage with the medicine.

The fear that many people feel, is the fear of losing control.
This might well be the fear of your ego, knowing it's about to lose ground.
Releasing the iron grip of control, and surrendering to trust, is a subtle yet powerful part of our preparation process.

The fear - and overcoming it - can be an important part of your journey. Sometimes it even is the main journey.

Our 7-week process is designed to guide you as safely as possible, with a large emphasis on preparation and integration. Our intention is that by the time you arrive at the ceremony, you'll feel ready to surrender, you have a clear intention (defined during our preparation coaching) and you're trusting and embracing the medicine.

Our health and psychological screening is designed to determine whether the retreat is the right fit for you. Our guides and shamans are amongst the best in their field.

And lastly, there is nothing you have to do. Since there are many other elements to the retreat than 'just' the plant medicine, if you feel like participating with everything else except for the ceremonies, that is perfectly fine. In fact, the best approach is always to ‘feel it out’ on the day of the ceremony; check in with yourself and see what the right timing is for you.
